The hardwood is smooth with no rough edges, and my daughter loves gnawing on the little trunk. It's light enough that she can wave it around without dropping it constantly.

My 7-month-old grabs this thing the second I hand it over, and the wood grain feels really nice compared to the plastic teethers we tried. It's light enough for her to hold herself, which means fewer dropped-toy meltdowns at the table.

My little one gnaws on those wooden ears every single day and the smooth finish has held up perfectly through all the drool and drops. It's the right weight for her tiny hands to grip and she actually prefers it over her silicone options.
