The natural wood grain on each block is different, so no two look alike and they feel solid in little hands. My toddler stacks them for hours and the slightly rough edges everyone warned about are barely noticeable. For clearance pricing these were an absolute steal.

I grabbed these for my niece's second birthday and the natural wood grain is honestly prettier than the smooth ones I remember. A couple blocks have small knots and color variation, which is exactly what I was hoping for. She's already stacking and naming the letters.

Each block has that charmingly uneven edge you just don’t find in newer toys, and the painted letters are crisp despite the wood’s natural quirks. My kid loves hunting for the one with a tiny knot right on the “K”, and I kind of love that we’ll never find a perfect match for it anywhere else.
