The six-sided shape makes it stand out on the shelf instead of looking like every other engraved block. The hardwood has a nice weight to it, and you can tell it'll survive being handed down. Gave it at the baptism and the grandparents kept passing it around.
I had my daughter's name and baptism date engraved on it, and the solid hardwood feels substantial in your hand. It's been sitting on her nursery shelf for two months now and I still catch myself picking it up just to hold it.
The six sides are all smoothly finished, so it looks lovely from every angle on the shelf. I ordered it for our daughter’s christening and the personalization came out crisp and elegant, a piece I know we’ll keep out for years.
